The Cornerstone Global Network (CGN) Summit is a treasured annual highlight in our church calendar, bringing together pastors, ministry leaders, and churches from 34 nations across the global network to Singapore each July. It is a sacred time set apart for prayer, strengthening fellowship, and deepening spiritual and eternal bonds in Christ Jesus.

We are continually graced and blessed to receive a clear and timely word from God – one that shapes our posture and sharpens the vision set before us. Through intentional sessions and workshops, the Word of God is opened in ways that challenge and renew hearts, minds, and ministry strategies. In doing so, we are directed heavenward toward Kingdom possibilities rather than remaining limited by earthly perspectives or human constraints. What a privilege and grace it is to shepherd God’s people – the Church of Jesus Christ – led and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Watching over the lives of members and churches within CGN carries a profound responsibility unlike any ordinary vocation. It calls us to know Him intimately and to live in the understanding that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. What joy there is in being yoked to Christ and in continually desiring fresh impartation from Him.

More than ministry activity or service alone, this gathering is about building genuine fellowship with one another while renewing shared values and reaffirming our eternal purpose.

— Pastor Daphne Yang, CGN Executive Co-chairman

This year, we welcomed a record 110 pastors and leaders representing 20 nations for the four-day summit. It was a time of hearing God’s heart for CGN through our Senior Pastors, Pastor Yang and Pastor Daphne, as well as receiving inspiring updates and praise reports from our network pastors across the nations.

The theme of this year’s Summit was “Even Greater Things”, drawn from John 14:12: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

God’s Prophetic Word over CGN: Speed and Expansion

Pastor Yang shared a prophetic word for this season over CGN: “Speed and Expansion.”

He declared that God is going to enlarge the footprint of CGN rapidly. He also emphasised that “God is not looking for methods; He is looking for a man or woman who carries His vision for the House.”

Speed – Fast Yet Rooted

Pastor Yang shared that he foresees God adding many new churches to CGN. He emphasised that as we step into this new season, it is vital to remain anchored in the foundations and core values that have been established, while continuing to honour and build upon them.

To this end, Pastor Yang began the Summit by reminding the network of two prophetic declarations and thoughts spoken by his spiritual father, Dr. Brian Bailey. These words have served as foundational pillars for CGN and will continue to guide and uphold the movement as it expands.

Declaration 01: The Zion Decree

In January 2006, through Dr. Brian Bailey, God declared His desire to establish the Zion identity in Cornerstone – the call for every believer to press on toward full maturity in Christ. From Cornerstone Singapore, blessings would flow to the nations through the CGN churches.

Dr. Bailey asked, “What is to be decreed?”

And the Lord responded: “This is Zion, and the Lord shall reign here. From this place, rivers shall flow – streams of clear waters to wash the nations. In Zion, He has laid a Cornerstone, and He has decreed that it shall not be shaken or disturbed. From here, rivers of living water shall flow to the nations.”

Declaration 02: Field of Daffodils

In June 2008, Dr. Brian Bailey was caught up to heaven, where he saw a vast field of daffodils planted by Cornerstone Community Church in Singapore. Pastor Yang revealed that the daffodils symbolise:

01. The Power of Resurrection

02. Freedom over Cancer

03. Prophetic Anointing

04. The Bible College of Wales (as the daffodil is the national flower of Wales)

Expansion – Why I Believe in Church Growth

Pastor Yang believes that expansion and growth are part of God’s plan for the CGN because “the church is a living organism and all living things grow if it is healthy. But if it is not growing, then we have to ask ourselves why?”

Pastor Yang explains that God has placed an anointing for growth upon Cornerstone Singapore. As the CGN is connected to the headship, the anointing will flow downwards, thus growth is a natural fruit of it.

She continued to share that in our journey of seeking God’s plans for our lives, He will place signposts along our way to lead us, through divine indicators, guiding moments in life, spiritual clues to confirm or realign our trajectories, and assignments to confirm our identity in Christ.

As a shepherd of the flock, each CGN pastor carries the weighty responsibility of administering God’s household and thus needs to lead according to God’s timing and plans. To fulfil all that God desires for the glory of His Name, at times, “circumstances are out of our control, and hence our decisions in those moments are especially crucial – the most important thing being our willingness to surrender our circumstances to Him.”

Beyond the deep and insightful teachings, as well as the learning and ministry updates, the pastors also had meaningful opportunities to bond and encourage one another. These moments unfolded naturally during mealtimes, coffee breaks, and the dedicated Rest and Relax (R&R) sessions.

This year, the R&R segment of the Summit was especially memorable, with our pastors meandering through the newly launched Rainforest Wild Asia, sharing good conversations and laughter amid the lush greenery and vibrant wildlife.

The Summit closed with a collective recommitment to the Lord, His Kingdom mission, and covenantal relationships as one family under God. We give God all the praise and glory for our CGN family, and press onwards towards “Even Greater Things”, in Him, through Him, and all for Him!
