20 Years of Generations - The Gemmys 2025

On 6 September 2025, more than 360 youths, alumni, and former youth pastors gathered to celebrate Generations’ 25th Anniversary. This was a momentous occasion marking a significant milestone of God’s enduring goodness and grace.

More than just a count of years, Generations is a space where lives have been changed, and stories are still unfolding as we walk with a promise-keeping God. What began as a small crew of hungry youths in the year 2000 has grown into a vibrant ministry of passionate lovers of God.

From evangelistic day outs to online gatherings (during the Covid-19 pandemic) – and even the birth of our very own Generations merchandise – we have created countless unique moments together. Along the way, there were challenges but also no shortage of victories marked by tears, laughter, worship, and breakthroughs that continue to shape Generations today.

It was only fitting to theme the event, “Grace Upon Grace”, which was also inspired by Pastor Sabrina’s sharing that 2025 would be a prophetic season to declare and proclaim God’s grace and promises. It served as a poignant reminder that every milestone, testimony, and breakthrough has been made possible only by His unending favour.

As the evening began, we saw Geners dressed to the nines fill the hall with much anticipation, many of them decked up in suits and gowns. The foyer featured a nostalgic display of archival photos and artefacts from past youth events, inviting guests to take a trip down memory lane.

Many paused to pen heartfelt letters of appreciation to their leaders, while others captured new memories at the photo booths with friends and alumni.

Through the 8-course dinner, Geners watched a special 3-part Generations documentary – filmed, edited, and produced by the youths themselves. The documentary showcased inspiring stories, testimonies, and dreams of those who played a pivotal role in shaping the ministry, as well as those whose lives have been transformed through it.

Generations have been formed by those who paved the way, by those carrying the mantles – and together, a demonstration of the synergy of the ages.

The night continued with laughter, games, and celebration, as Geners across cells, zones, and ministries were invited on stage to receive various Awards in recognition of their faithful service – from shepherding to evangelism to building and shaping ministries that have left a lasting impact.

As the celebration drew to a close, pastors, alumni, and youths joined together in worship, lifting their voices in praise to the One who made it all possible.

The atmosphere was filled with awe, thanksgiving, and a renewed sense of purpose. That night, there was undoubtedly a release of newfound faith, courage, and anticipation for God to move in the lives of youths through Generations in the years to come. God has taken Generations thus far – and we are only standing at the edge of all that’s still ahead! To Him be the Glory.
