As we began the year 2026, the leaders of Cornerstone Community Church gathered to dedicate ourselves to the Lord, as we stepped into another new season for this House.

It was a gathering of over 450 pastors, staff, deacons, zone, section, Cell, and ministry leaders at our newly renovated auditorium in Orchard Towers. This was the first time the yearly Dedication Service was held there, with many delighted by the renovation as they arrived, marking a defining moment in the church calendar.

There was a clear sense of gratitude as we gathered in this place where God provided.

The service opened with worship, and Pastor Yang spoke on the importance of the prophetic anointing, which is what breaks open the heavens and brings breakthrough. He referenced the lives of Elijah and Samuel, highlighting that these men carried something God’s people still need today: the ability to touch God and to lay hold of Him.

Beyond just good teaching of the Word (logos), the key to sustaining spiritual fire in the church is the prophetic unction – to receive the Rhema Word for today that ushers in a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in our lives, Pastor Yang emphasised. He continued to lead the leaders into a focused time of prayer – to press in for fresh revelation from God and to persevere in prayer till breakthroughs come in the year 2026.

As we committed the year to the Lord, Pastor Daphne rallied everyone to come into agreement with the unique design God has created in each one of us. She reiterated that each day we are to ask God for our daily bread, fresh bread for each day, so that we are nourished with God’s values and purpose, to come into our destiny in the Kingdom of God.

She spoke to those with struggles and said, “God is bending us so that we can be completely aligned,” from Zechariah 9. Through it all, He is dovetailing everything in our lives, setting in motion all things to be completed in His time. We have to walk in step with God and not give up.

Pastor Daphne also gave a roundup of God’s work in 2025, helping leaders reflect on what the Lord has done and reinforcing that many programmes and breakthroughs were possible only by the grace of God that has brought us this far. As a congregation, we also released a blessing over those in full-time ministry, praying that they would remember their vows, keep their promises and covenants with God, and continue to serve with steady faithfulness as they put their hands to the plough without looking back.

A key highlight of the morning was the commissioning of newly appointed pastors, lay pastors, and leaders. The pastors and deacons prayed over them with anointing oil, dedicating them for the ministry.

After the meeting, the leaders were invited to gather for lunch across various restaurants in the building, including those serving Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Indonesian Cuisine. It was a warm time of connection and a practical way to build goodwill with the businesses in the mall, as we continue to be a blessing in the area. Everyone left encouraged from the day and aligned for the work ahead in 2026.
